On the road again …

Hello, Fellow Travel Enthusiasts!

My name is Shannon Sue Dunlap, and I’ve worn many hats in my lifetime, both figuratively and literally. (Seriously, I love hats.) I’ve been a secretary, theater reviewer, librarian, missionary, teacher, and author. But in all these versions of myself, I loved to travel.

My international journeys include London, Scotland, Italy, Prince Edward Island, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana. My parents started me young as they rattled around America in our green-and-white motorhome. I’ve traveled all over the U.S., but still have a few states I need to experience firsthand.

I just can’t wait to get on the road again …

I currently live in hot and humid Houston, although I’m not a Texan by birth. There’s much of the Lone Star State I haven’t seen, and I’m planning to check it out this summer. Would you like to come along? I’ll include some obvious tourist attractions and some not-so-obvious ones. Whether writing blogs or novels, I have lots of funny stories to tell. And if there’s an opportunity to pass along a quirky travel tip or a good place to eat, I’ll be sure to do so.

If anyone has a suggestion for where I should blog about next, feel free to email me. I love how much of God’s big, beautiful world I still have left to explore!
